The meeting culminated in a signing ceremony. Qi Hong and Thongrob Ruenbanthoeng signed the supplementary student exchange agreement on behalf of their respective institutions. Building upon the existing partnership, this agreement further clarifies key implementation details, such as those pertaining to doctoral research internship programs, providing institutional safeguards for the standardized execution of joint projects.
During their visit, the Thai delegation toured SJTU’s historic Xuhui Campus and the international student dormitories. The campus’s rich heritage and vibrant academic atmosphere left a deep impression on the delegates, further strengthening their confidence in deepening the collaboration.
This meeting and agreement signing represent a significant step forward in the SJTU School of Humanities’ implementation of its “Open Humanities” internationalization strategy. Moving forward, both institutions will leverage student exchange as a bond and research collaboration as a foundation to continuously expand cooperative areas and enrich their substance, injecting new momentum into higher education exchanges and cultural mutual learning between China and Thailand.
