The Delegation from the Consulate General of Mexico in Shanghai Visited the School of Humanities at SJTU

On May 26, 2021, the delegation led by Amb. Lorena Larios from the Consulate General of Mexico in Shanghai visited the School of Humanities at SJTU. Prof. Xu Xuemin, Vice President of SJTU, Prof. Luo Peng, Director of SJTU’s International Affairs Division, Prof. Chen Ke, Deputy Director of SJTU’s International Affairs Division, Prof. Wang Ning, Dean of SJTU’s School of Humanities, Ms. Qi Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee of SJTU’s School of Humanities, Prof. Cai Wenjing, Vice Dean of SJTU’s School of Humanities, and other faculty members attended the reception.

During the meeting, Prof. Xu Xuemin expressed her welcome to the delegation and her wish to promote academic collaboration with top universities and institutes in Mexico. Amb. Lorena Larios, Consul General of Mexico in Shanghai, expressed her thanks to SJTU and her intention to help SJTU establish contact with Mexican universities to promote cultual exchange and scientific innovation.

Later, the two parties had an in-depth discussion and explored the the possibilities of collaboration. Both parties agreed that this visit was the starting point for cooperation, and they would endeavor to promote further collaboration in the near future.
