Six MTCSOL Program Students from the School of Humanities at SJTU Won Awards in the Seventh Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai MTCSOL Teaching Skills and Chinese Talent Competition

On October 15, 2022, the Seventh Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai MTCSOL Teaching Skills and Chinese Talent Competition came to an end, and six students from the Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages program of the School of Humanities at SJTU won the awards. Sangeun Kim won the second prize for Teaching Skills Competition in the international student group, Feng Ruoxi and Chen Kexin won the third prize for Teaching Skills Competition in the Chinese student group, and Cai Junfeng, Xie Wanting and Pei Pei won the third prize for Chinese Talent Competition. 





The school has been preparing for the competition since April this year. Five faculty members from the school helped with the student selection and provided the students with careful guidance and suggestions. Under their guidance, the students performed quite well during the competition and won the awards. 

During the event, a forum on the cultivation of MTCSOL talents was also held, and Prof. Wang Jun, director of the school’s International Chinese Education Center, shared his idea of how to cultivate MTCSOL talents in the post-pandemic era and had an in-depth discussion with faculty members from other universities.
