The 2022 Opening Ceremony for Freshmen Held in the School of Humanities

On August 27, the 2022 Opening Ceremony for freshmen was held in the School of Humanities at SJTU, and broadcast live on online platforms. Ms. Qi Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Humanities, Prof. Wang Ning, Dean of the School of Humanities, faculty members and the freshmen attended the ceremony. The ceremony was moderated by Ms. Chen Lilin, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Humanities.





Prof. Wang Ning delivered his warm welcome to the freshmen, and introduced the school history and disciplines to them. He then expressed his expectations for the freshmen, and hoped them to be human-oriented and innovative, to bravely shoulder the responsibilities, and to cultivate a global vision and enhance cross-cultural communication.


 

Ms. Qi Hong congratulated the freshmen on their successful admission to SJTU. She expected the freshmen to become a person with ambition and aspiration, and a person who determines to shoulder the responsibilities and serve the country. She also encouraged the students to hold onto their dreams and strive to make more achievements during their study at SJTU.  




After the speeches, many freshmen shared their ideas and expressed their expectation of a new life here at SJTU.
