On February 19th, the School of Humanities held an online opening ceremony for the 2021 language students, and around 200 international students attended the ceremony.
Prof. Wang Jun, Director of the Center for International Chinese Education, delivered a welcome speech at the ceremony, and elaborated on how to learn Chinese well and how to conduct online learning. He also expressed his thanks to students who chose to conduct online learning at SJTU and his wish to meet them on campus soon.
Staff from the Academic Affairs Office, International Office and International Student Service Office later introduced the course arrangements, visa policies, and student activities to the students. A Q&A session was also arranged to help solve the students’ problems and prepare them for the new semester.
