The Delegation from the School of Humanities Visited Japanese Universities

From March 15 to 19, 2024, the delegation from the School of Humanities led by Qi Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, visited Japanese universities and had in-depth exchanges with them respectively.




On March 15, the delegation visited Showa Women's University (SWU) and met with Hideo Yamazaki, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of SWU and Akira Kanao, President of SWU. The two parties reviewed the past collaboration and exchanges, especially the Double Bachelor Degree Program, and agreed that they would further enhance exchanges, explore new fields of cooperation, and continue to deepen their friendship.



On March 16, the delegation met with the faculty and staff from the Department of International Studies at SWU and 11 graduates of the Double Bachelor Degree Program. Qi Hong sent her congratulations and best wishes to the graduates. 



Then, the delegation attended the graduation ceremony of SWU. Qi Hong presented graduation and degree certificates to the graduates of the Double Bachelor Degree Program, and delivered a greeting speech. She mentioned that the partnership between the two universities had lasted for 32 years, and they had jointly cultivated 71 outstanding Double Bachelor Degree Program students. She believed that the two universities would further strengthen connections and promote more collaborative programs. 


 

Later, the delegation met with Mariko Bando, Chancellor of SWU. The two parties discussed the progression of Bando Fellowship, and expressed that they would continue to support faculty exchanges and other collaboration. 



On March 18, the delegation visited Meiji Gakuin University and exchanged ideas with Prof. Zhang Hongbo there on discipline, curriculum, scientific research and international exchanges.
